Our Story

DeadNote Apparel was born somewhere between take 47 and giving up — which, if you’re a musician, you know is actually where the best stuff happens. We make clothes for the people who write songs no one asks to hear, live permanently in a minor key, and find more comfort in a well-placed Dm chord than in most human conversation. We exist for everyone who’s ever been asked if they have a backup plan. The answer, for the record, is no.

This isn’t merch for fans of a band. It’s for people who are the band — even if the band is just them, a laptop, and a half-finished track they’ll never release. We make minimalist, grunge-tinged clothing for the ones who chase the perfect take, write lyrics at 2am, and consider a good reverb setting a genuine emotional experience. We put the unglamorous, deeply specific reality of making music on a t-shirt, because it deserves to be worn proudly. Or at least worn. We’re not picky.

We’re not festival merchandise. We’re not a branded stress ball with a guitar on it. We’re the thing you wear when you want the right person in the room to quietly nod at you — because they’ve been in that same 3am spiral, staring at a DAW, wondering if any of it matters. It does. Probably. Either way, the clothes are good.
